Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Math & Science College Preparatory to victory, but perhaps none more so than Sergio Lopez, who dropped a triple-double on 23 points, 13 rebounds, and 10 steals. The game was Lopez's fifth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Sidney Scott, who dropped a double-double on 23 points and 11 rebounds.
Math & Science College Preparatory's win bumped their record up to 4-1. As for Downtown Magnets, they have yet to win a game on the road this season, leaving them with a 3-1 record.
