The Columbia River Rapids will head out on the road to take on the Mark Morris Monarchs at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Columbia River comes in on six and Mark Morris on seven.
Columbia River is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. Everything went their way against Washougal on Friday as they made off with a 32-1 victory. The team's explosion at the plate also rewarded the Rapids with their most commanding win of the season.
Haylee Delano and Cassity Houk were major factors no matter where they played. On the mound, Delano pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off three hits. Meanwhile, Houk pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than one walk in five consecutive appearances. At bat, Delano went 3-for-6 with three RBI, one stolen base, and one run, while Houk went 4-for-5 with three runs, two RBI, and one double. That's the most RBI Delano has posted since back in May of 2025.

In other batting news, Ava Pratoussy was a standout: she went a perfect 5-for-5 with one home run, five runs, and seven RBI. Those five runs gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Hailee Corona, who got on base in all six of her plate appearances with six runs, one triple, and one stolen base.
Columbia River kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 29 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.
Meanwhile, Mark Morris never let their opponents score on Friday. They put the hurt on R.A. Long with a sharp 24-0 win. Considering the Monarchs have won six contests by more than six runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.
Makenzie Henthorn made a splash no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only one hit while striking out 11 over five innings pitched. Henthorn was also big at the plate, firing off two home runs and six RBI while going 2-for-4. Those home runs marked the first that she has launched this season.
In other batting news, Mark Morris got a massive performance out of Megan Fugleberg, who went 3-for-4 with one home run, two stolen bases, and three runs. Those stolen bases were Fugleberg's first of the season. Paisley Fraidenburg was another key player, going 4-for-5 with four runs, two doubles, and one triple.
Columbia River's record now sits at 7-3. As for Mark Morris, their record is now 8-1.
Monday's game will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Columbia River hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .373. However, it's not like Mark Morris struggles in that department as they've averaged .436. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Columbia River came up short against Mark Morris when the teams last played back in May of 2025, falling 6-1. Can the Rapids avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
