Volleyball Recap: St. Martin's Luck Takes a Turn for the Worse on Tuesday

It was a good run, but St. Martin unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Tuesday. They lost 3-0 to the West Harrison Hurricanes. The Yellow Jackets were not able to make up for their defeat to the Hurricanes from their previous meeting back in August of 2023.

St. Martin was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made West Harrison work for it, especially in the third set. The match finished with set scores of 25-17, 25-17, 27-25.

St. Martin's loss dropped their record down to 4-6. As for West Harrison, they pushed their record up to 3-4 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. St. Martin will take on rival Gulfport at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, West Harrison is set to challenge their familiar foe Ocean Springs at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
