The Curlew Cougars can now show off seven landslide victories after their most recent game on Saturday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Selkirk 53-25 at home. Given Curlew's advantage in MaxPreps' Washington basketball rankings (they are ranked 86th, while Selkirk is ranked 291st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Emma Lena Baker was her usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 22 points and 15 rebounds. Annika Baker was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 11 points and 12 rebounds.
Curlew pushed their record up to 18-2 with that victory, which was their seventh straight at home. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 50.3 points per game. As for Selkirk, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-9.
Curlew does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Selkirk also has no future games currently scheduled.
