Baseball Recap: Lynn English Picks Up Third Consecutive Win

Lynn English entered their tilt with Revere on Thursday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They walked away with a 6-3 victory over the Patriots. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 1-0 last Thursday.

Jariel Benzan made a big impact no matter where he played. On the mound, he struck out six batters over 4.2 innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off four hits. Benzan was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

In other batting news, Julian Rodriguez was excellent, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one double. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in May of 2024. Engel Thomas was another key player, going 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one RBI.

Lynn English always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .520. They are a perfect 3-0 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.

Lynn English now has a winning record of 6-5. As for Revere, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-7 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Lynn English will host Saugus at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Revere, they will be playing at home against Malden at 4:15 p.m. on Monday.
