The Santee Falcons's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Wednesday after their third straight loss. They lost to Franklin at home by a decisive 61-43 margin. While losing is never fun, Santee can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 735th, while Franklin is ranked 196th).
Santee's lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Robert Macias, who scored 12 points. Another player making a difference was Michael Aldridge JR, who scored 10 points.
Santee's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Franklin, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 5-1.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Santee will take on TREE Academy at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday. Franklin is on the road again on Friday and play against Roybal at 4:00 p.m. on December 1st.
