The Temecula Valley Golden Bears will square off against the Linfield Christian Lions at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.
Temecula Valley is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. Their pitchers stepped up to hand Valley Center a 20-0 shutout on Friday. The Golden Bears' victory was nothing new given the team hasn't lost yet this season.
Charlee Carrillo looked comfortable as she tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off three hits. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than one earned run any time she's pitched this season.

Meanwhile, Linfield Christian won against Colony last Wednesday with 15 runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Thursday. Everything went Linfield Christian's way against Chaparral as Linfield Christian made off with a 15-4 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Lions.
Presley Sloniker was a major factor no matter where she played. She struck out nine batters over five innings while giving up just two earned (and two unearned) runs off five hits. Sloniker was also big at the plate, getting on base in all five of her plate appearances with four RBI, two runs, and one stolen base.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Charli Calas, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. Another player making a difference was Chloe Hill, who scored two runs while going 3-for-4.

Temecula Valley might still be hurting after the 11-1 defeat they got from Linfield Christian when the teams last played back in April of 2024. Can Temecula Valley avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
