Baseball Recap: Parke Heritage Has No Trouble Against North Central

Parke Heritage had to skate by with only a two-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the 15-run drubbing they dealt North Central on Wednesday. The Wolves were the clear victors by a 16-1 margin over the Thunderbirds. The Wolves haven't had any issues with the Thunderbirds recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.

Jerrid Graves made a splash no matter where he played. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit over five innings pitched. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with two runs and one RBI.

In other batting news, Josiah Heck was a standout: he went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, three runs, and two RBI. That's the most runs he has posted since back in April of 2024. BT Luce also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

Parke Heritage always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .632. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as North Central only posted an OBP of .235.

Parke Heritage's record is now 5-2. As for North Central, they are on a seven-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-6.
