The Lakes Eagles won against the Grant Community Bulldogs last Monday with 45 points and they decided to stick to that point total again on Tuesday. Lakes walked away with a 45-33 victory over Grant Community. The win was familiar territory for Lakes who now have three in a row.
Lakes' success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Inclarity Turney led the charge by scoring 11 points along with four steals and three blocks. Turney has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last eight times she's played. Madison Twarling was another key contributor, scoring 16 points.
Lakes' win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-11. As for Grant Community, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost eight of their last ten matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-13 record this season.
Coincidentally, both teams will both be playing Wauconda the next time they take the court. Lakes will head out to face Wauconda at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, while Grant Community will head out to face them at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday.
