The Troy Trojans will be home for the holidays to greet the Stebbins Indians at 11:45 a.m. on Saturday. Hopefully Troy focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 21 on Wednesday.
Last Wednesday, Troy lost to Xenia on the road by a decisive 52-34 margin. Troy has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Jadyn Almeida put forth a good effort for the losing side as she scored 11 points along with three steals. Those 11 points set a new season-high mark for her.
Meanwhile, Stebbins scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Wednesday. They took down Greenville 57-43.
Troy has been struggling recently, as they've lost four of their last five contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-6 record this season. As for Stebbins, their victory ended a six-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 4-4.
Everything came up roses for Troy against Stebbins in their previous meeting back in February of 2021 as the squad secured a 55-5 win. With Troy ahead 27-3 at the half, the game was all but over already.
