Old Orchard Beach hasn't had much luck against Sacopee Valley recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. On Tuesday, Old Orchard Beach made easy work of Buckfield and carried off a 14-4 victory. The win continues a trend for the Seagulls in their matchups with the Bucks: they've now won nine in a row.

The team relied heavily on Trot Moody, who went 3-for-4 with four stolen bases, two runs, and one double. Those four stolen bases gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Evan Moody, who went 2-for-3 with four runs and one RBI.
Meanwhile, Sacopee Valley didn't have quite enough to beat Waynflete on Tuesday and fell 5-4.
Donovan Harvey was huge while hitting and pitching even without the win. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits over four innings pitched. Harvey was also big at the plate, going 1-for-2 with one stolen base and two RBI.
In other batting news, Silas Nielsen was cooking despite his team's loss, going 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI.
Sacopee Valley's loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 8-5. As for Old Orchard Beach, their victory bumped their record up to 7-5.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Thursday as neither team is afraid to steal. Old Orchard Beach has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 5.4 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Sacopee Valley struggles in that department as they've been averaging 4.9 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
