Basketball Game Preview: Centaurus Warriors vs. Silver Creek Raptors

The Centaurus Warriors will face off against the Silver Creek Raptors at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.

Last Friday, Centaurus lost to Fairview on the road by a 54-40 margin. While losing is never fun, the Warriors can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Colorado basketball rankings (they are ranked 147th, while the Knights are ranked 30th).

Centaurus' defeat came about despite a quality game from Sam Esposito, who posted 15 points. Esposito is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last four games he's played. Faya Tolno was another key player, putting up eight points.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Silver Creek). They walked away with an 86-74 win over Gateway on Saturday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Raptors.

Centaurus has also been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last eight contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-9 record this season. As for Silver Creek, their victory bumped their record up to 8-6.
