Annie Onufrak put forth a good effort for the losing side as she posted six points in addition to ten boards and five steals. She is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as she's now pulled down nine or more in each of the last four games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Isabella Petrino, who had 11 points and four steals.
Even though they lost, Weldon Valley smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 18 offensive rebounds. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Lone Star only nine offensive boards.
Meanwhile, Idalia had already won ten in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 17.6 points) and they went ahead and made it 11 on Saturday. They came out on top against the Wildcats by a score of 52-41.
Weldon Valley better keep an eye on Jaylyn Kechter. She was instrumental in Idalia's win, dropping a double-double with 21 points and 13 boards. What's more, Kechter also posted a 67% three-point shooting accuracy, which is the highest she's achieved since back in December of 2024. Krista Wieser was another key player, dropping a double-double with 12 points and ten rebounds.
Idalia's record is now 19-4. As for Weldon Valley, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-13.
