The Hockinson Hawks took care of business in their home opener on Monday. They enjoyed a cozy 41-24 victory over Battle Ground. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Hockinson also won the last time the pair played back in December of 2017.
Hockinson can attribute much of their success to Siena Brown, who scored 17 points along with nine steals. Zieynita Stidum was another key contributor, scoring ten points along with nine steals.
Hockinson's victory ended a seven-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 1-0. As for Battle Ground, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-2.
Hockinson will look to defend their home court on Wednesday against R.A. Long at 7:30 p.m. Battle Ground won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Heritage at 7:00 p.m. on December 5th.
