The Andover Trojans put another one in the bag on Wednesday to keep their perfect season alive. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Goddard 57-28 at home. Andover has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five games by 29 points or more this season.
Andover's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Brooke Walker, who scored 11 points along with four steals. Walker has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last four times she's played. Another player making a difference was Alana Shetlar, who scored 14 points along with five rebounds.
Andover's win was their 17th straight at home, which pushed their record up to 7-0. They've been dominating during the contests in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 23.47 points. As for Goddard, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-3 record this season.
Andover will head out on the road to take on South on Friday. Hopefully South focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up ten back in December of 2023. As for Goddard, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Eisenhower at 6:00 p.m. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Kansas (Eisenhower is ranked 169th, while Goddard is ranked 147th).
