Faith Christian has won eight straight games at home, while Wake County HomeSchool has won eight straight on the road, but those streaks won't matter much on Thursday. The Patriots will host the Warriors at 6:30 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Faith Christian's pitching crew heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Tuesday. They were the clear victors by a 21-0 margin over Community Christian. The Patriots haven't had any issues with the Cyclones recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.
Noah Mayo and Blayde Hinton made a splash no matter where they played. Throwing, Mayo struck out six batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and not a single walk). Meanwhile, Hinton tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been consistent : he hasn't given up more than two walks in eight consecutive appearances. At the plate, Mayo went 1-for-2 with three RBI and one double, while Hinton scored three runs and stole a base while going 1-for-4. That's the most runs Hinton has posted since back in March.

In other batting news, Faith Christian let Ashton Lascallette and Ayden Tyndall run wild. Lascallette scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-2, while Tyndall scored two runs while going 3-for-3. Those three hits gave Tyndall a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Vincent Wilson, who scored two runs and stole two bases.
Faith Christian was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .414. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Community Christian only posted a batting average of .059.
Meanwhile, Wake County HomeSchool got the win against Ravenscroft on Thursday by a conclusive 7-1.
Calvin Tourville looked comfortable as he pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits.
On the hitting side, Wake County HomeSchool got a big performance out of Gabriel Ferrell, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3. Avery Martin was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-3.
Faith Christian's victory bumped their record up to 14-3. As for Wake County HomeSchool, their win bumped their record up to 15-4.
Thursday's game will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Faith Christian hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .326. However, it's not like Wake County HomeSchool struggles in that department as they've averaged .327.
