It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but the Durant Cougars had no problem doing just that on Monday. They blew past the Bolts 64-14 on the road. Durant has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven contests by 29 points or more this season.
Durant was led to victory by Elani-hazel Randall and Mikaiah Hallback. Randall scored 14 points along with seven rebounds and three steals, while Hallback scored 20 points along with seven steals. Hallback is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last five games she's played. Icyss Lopez was another key contributor, scoring seven points along with two steals.
Durant is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 12-11 record this season. As for Ridge Community, they are on a eight-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-11.
Durant is on the road again on Wednesday and plays the Blue Devils on February 7th. Winter Haven is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last five games. Ridge Community does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
