South Barber's Peyton Yandel rumbled for the longest rushing play in Heart of the Plains (8 Man) this season in his game against Stafford last week. Yandel ran for 72 yards on the play and finished with 167 on the day as his team beat the Trojans.
South Barber was the team that gained the most ground in the standings this week, jumping from third to first in the league. Tim Rector's team defeated Stafford 54-8 earlier in the week.
Cunningham's dynamic duo of Nick Huhman and Jordan Schaller proved tough for Argonia to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Huhman threw for 179 yards and seven touchdowns and Schaller had 96 yards receiving. Dylan Moran helped Cunningham's passing attack out by catching three balls for 54 yards.
Michael Westerman made the biggest impact on defense this week as the Wildcats beat the Red Raiders. The senior grabbed two sacks.
On the ground, the Chieftains' Yandel has rushed for 369 yards which leads the league. The leading receiver in the league this season is Jace Thurman. The South Barber star has 11 catches for 265 yards.
A big matchup in Heart of the Plains (8 Man) this week will be when Cunningham takes on Norwich. As it stands, Lance McGuire's team is in fifth, while the Eagles are in sixth.
Fairfield and South Central played the most hotly contested game in the league this week, with Fairfield eventually emerging with a 42-38 victory. Ryan Ewy threw for 113 yards and one touchdown and ran for 87 yards in the win.
