The Broomfield Eagles will head out on the road to square off against the Erie Tigers at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Broomfield has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 432 points over their last seven games.
Broomfield stacked a ninth blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Friday. They took their contest on the road with ease, bagging a 65-27 win over Loveland. Given Broomfield's advantage in MaxPreps' Colorado basketball rankings (they are ranked 33rd, while Loveland is ranked 187th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Broomfield got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Olivia Kim out in front who scored 13 points along with six steals. Kim is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last four games she's played. Sydney Deem was another key contributor, scoring 13 points along with two blocks.
Meanwhile, Erie scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Saturday. They blew past Mountain Range 68-12 at home. Perhaps unsurprisinly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest win of the season.
Broomfield is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine games, which provided a nice bump to their 17-4 record this season. As for Erie, their victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 15-6.
Broomfield skirted past Erie 47-44 in their previous matchup back in February of 2023. The rematch might be a little tougher for Broomfield since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
