If Shade beats North Star with 15 runs on Friday, it's going to be the team's new lucky number: they've won their past two games with that exact score. Shade walked away with a 15-11 victory over Forbes Road on Monday. The Panthers haven't had any issues with Forbes Road recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive win against them.

Meanwhile, North Star made easy work of Williamsburg on Thursday and carried off a 14-3 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Cougars.
Laiken Grove spent all six innings played on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and two unearned) runs on three hits.
At the plate, North Star got a massive performance out of Lexi Swanson, who fired off two home runs, five RBI, and three runs while going 2-for-4. The team also got some help courtesy of Ryleigh Grove, who went 3-for-4 with three doubles, four RBI, and two runs.
North Star's win bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Shade, they now have a winning record of 2-1.
Shade took their victory against North Star in their previous matchup back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 19-0. Does Shade have another victory up their sleeve, or will North Star turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
