Despite the loss, Liberty Christian Academy had strong showings from Hayden Newkirk, who scored seven points along with six rebounds and four blocks, and Hollyn Thigpen, who scored five points along with seven steals. Thigpen hasn't dropped below two steals for seven straight games.
New Bern Christian Academy's win bumped their record up to 15-6. As for Liberty Christian Academy, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-12.

Christ Covenant presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than the in North Carolina (the Spartan are ranked 118th, while the are ranked 255th). As for Liberty Christian Academy, they will be playing in front of their home fans against the Conquerors at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
