Tolsia's Brandon Ward rumbled for the longest rushing play in Cardinal this season in his game against Chapmanville Regional last week. Ward ran for 63 yards on the play and finished with 216 on the day as his team lost to the Tigers.
Wayne added to the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating Poca, 54-27. The win marks eighth in a row for the the Pioneers.
Hoover's offense was unstoppable this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Tyler Americo threw for 58 yards and Tristan Hager had 35 yards receiving. On the ground Shawn Dotson contributed 287 yards. Tristan Fields helped Hoover's passing attack out by catching 1 ball for 20 yards.
The Huskies' dynamic duo of Americo and Hager proved tough for Roane County to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Fields helped Hoover's passing attack out by catching 1 ball for 20 yards.
Dotson was a passing and rushing force as Hoover fell to the Raiders. Dotson's favorite target this week was Hager, who caught 2 passes for 35 yards.
Dotson was a beast in the backfield as Tim Meyer's team lost to Roane County.
Thanks to the talents of Blake Rose and Ward, Tolsia has been able to do all sorts of things on offense. Rose is tops in the league in passing with 525 yards, while Ward has rushed for 711 yards this season. Tops in the league in receiving yards is the Dots' Tyler Gibson, with 245 yards on 13 catches.
An important game coming up in the league this week will be when Wayne takes on Chapmanville Regional. Tom Harmon's team is currently in first, while George Barker's team is in fourth.
Mingo Central and Logan played the closest game in Cardinal this week, with Mingo Central eventually emerging with a 26-20 victory.
