Basketball Recap: Mohall/Lansford/Sherwood Picks Up Fourth Consecutive Win

Mohall/Lansford/Sherwood had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 7 points) and they went ahead and made it four on Friday. Everything went their way against the Harvey/Fessenden-Bowdon Hornets as they made off with a 59-39 victory. That 20 point margin sets a new team best for the Mavericks this season.

Harvey/Fessenden-Bowdon lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Rachel Neumiller, who posted 13 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Braylee Keller, who scored 12 points along with eight rebounds and three steals.

Mohall/Lansford/Sherwood is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matches, which provided a nice bump to their 11-5 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 53.6 points per game. As for Harvey/Fessenden-Bowdon, they have been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last nine games, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-11 record this season.

Mohall/Lansford/Sherwood won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Tioga at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. Tioga knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past 12 matchups -- so hopefully Mohall/Lansford/Sherwood likes a good challenge. Harvey/Fessenden-Bowdon does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
