There's no place like home for the Westville Blackhawks, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road last Thursday. They put the hurt on Washington Township with a sharp 62-37 win on Thursday. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win Westville has posted since December 1, 2023.
Westville had a senior duo take command as Ishmael Kane scored ten points along with six rebounds and five steals and Kaden Pepper dropped a double-double on 12 points and 14 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Kane has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Josh Wert, who scored ten points.
Several Senators players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Rob Mcgowan, who scored nine points along with six rebounds and three steals. Another player making a difference was Logan Armstrong, who scored five points along with four steals.
Westville's win bumped their record up to 6-8. As for Washington Township, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 6-3.
Coincidentally, both teams will both be playing Morgan Township the next time they take the court. Westville will head out to face Morgan Township at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday, while Washington Township will host them at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
