Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.

Julius Brown put forth a good effort for the losing side as he scored 21 points. That was a full 45.7% of Doane Stuart's points, marking the fifth time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Kiere Franze, who scored ten points.
Meanwhile, Berlin/New Lebanon's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their fourth straight loss. They took a 65-51 bruising from Hawthorne Valley. Berlin/New Lebanon was down 55-33 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.
Doane Stuart's defeat dropped their record down to 6-3. As for Berlin/New Lebanon, they dropped their record down to 3-13 with that loss, which was their third straight at home.
Everything came up roses for Doane Stuart against the Mountain Lions in their previous matchup back in December of 2023 as the squad secured a 62-34 victory.
