The Southwest Roughriders can now show off four landslide victories after their most recent matchup on Tuesday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Hi-Line [Eustis-Farnam/Elwood] 52-11 on the road. That looming 52-11 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for Southwest yet this season.
Southwest got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Anastasia Gallegos out in front who scored eight points along with seven assists and six steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Allison Vanpelt, who scored 12 points along with two steals.
Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, Hi-Line [Eustis-Farnam/Elwood] struggled to work together and finished the game with only an assist. They were crushed by their opponents in that department as Southwest racked up 14 assists.
The win (which was Southwest's fifth in a row) raised their record to 8-5. As for Hi-Line [Eustis-Farnam/Elwood], they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-10.
Southwest will be playing in front of their home fans against Bertrand on Friday. Bertrand is hoping to put an end to a four-game streak of away losses. As for Hi-Line [Eustis-Farnam/Elwood], they will head out on the road to take on Alma at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Alma will be looking to extend their current eight-game winning streak.
