The North Providence Cougars won the last time they faced the Central Falls Warriors, and things went their way on Tuesday too. North Providence came out on top against Central Falls by a score of 60-47.
When it comes to explaining why Central Falls lost, one person who can't be blamed is Julian Ortiz. Despite the final result, he scored 21 points along with four steals. Ortiz is absolutely dominating the steal category: he's posted at least two every time he's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Jamilson DePina, who scored eight points along with five rebounds.
North Providence now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Central Falls, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-3.
North Providence will be home for the holidays to greet Exeter-West Greenwich at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Central Falls, they will head out on the road to face off against Paul Cuffee at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
