Baseball Recap: Lake Extends Winning Streak to Three

Lake extended their winning streak to three on Saturday, bumping their season record up to 17-5 in the process. They were the clear victors by a 16-2 margin over the Rossford Bulldogs. Considering the Flyers have won 12 games by more than seven runs this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.

As for Rossford, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-15. Admittedly, the team was facing some tough opposition over that stretch, including 16-4 Eastwood (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 78.6% over those games).

For Rossford's part, they saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Caleb Campbell, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one RBI. Damian Selvera also deserves some recognition as he scored his first run of the season.

Looking ahead, Lake is taking a road trip to face off against Carey at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Rossford, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Eastwood at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
