The McClintock Chargers will square off against the North Mustangs at 3:45 p.m. on Tuesday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
North will challenge a team with plenty of momentum: McClintock extended their winning streak to eight on Thursday. The Chargers put the hurt on Metro Tech with a sharp 29-2 victory. That looming 29-2 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Chargers yet this season.
RyenHope Cozakos was a major factor no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, pitching two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than one hit in three consecutive appearances. She was even better at the plate, firing off two home runs, six RBI, and one double while going 3-for-3. Those six RBI gave her a new career-high.

McClintock always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .707. Their OBP was a full 0 higher than the also-impressive .524 that Metro Tech posted.
Meanwhile, North can bid farewell to their four-game losing streak thanks to their game on Thursday. They were the clear victors by a 14-1 margin over Alhambra.
Like McClintock, North also got a great game from a two-way player: Solis Coker. On the mound, she pitched five innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits. Coker was also solid in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with two RBI and one run.
In other batting news, North got a massive performance out of Jayla Santiesteban, who went 3-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. Another player making a difference was Ariana Velasquez, who went 3-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple.
McClintock pushed their record up to 13-3 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.3 runs on average over those games. As for North, their win bumped their record up to 9-13.
Tuesday's game will be a test for both teams' pitchers. McClintock hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .569. However, it's not like North struggles in that department as they've averaged .378. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
