On Saturday, Westover suffered a tough 55-35 defeat at the hands of the Saints. While losing is never fun, Westover can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 135th, while the Saints are ranked 42nd).
Despite the loss, Westover still got an impressive performance from Rmani Robinson, who scored 17 points. That was a full 48.6% of Westover's points, marking the third time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points.
Westover has traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-6 record this season. As for John Paul II Catholic, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 19-3.
Westover will head out on the road to face off against the Trojans at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Harnett Central is coming into the contest on a three-game losing streak. As for John Paul II Catholic, they will be playing at home against the Hurricanes at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Cape Fear Academy is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
