The Casa Grande Cougars lost against the Higley Knights two weeks ago, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The game between Casa Grande and Higley wasn't particularly close, with Casa Grande falling 63-49. While losing is never fun, Casa Grande can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Arizona basketball rankings (they are ranked 171st, while Higley is ranked 27th).
Casa Grande's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Phinneas Linehan, who scored 17 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Linehan has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Aveon Williams, who scored 16 points.
