West Florence has enjoyed the comforts of home their last two games, but now they'll head out on the road. The West Florence Knights and the Keenan Raiders will round out the year against one another at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday at. Keenan took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on West Florence, who comes in off a win.
West Florence scored the most points they've had all season to find success last Wednesday. They came out on top against Lakewood by a score of 51-43. That 51-43 margin sets a new team best for West Florence this season.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead West Florence to victory, but perhaps none more so than Kendrina Johnson, who scored seven points along with 16 rebounds and four steals. That's the first time this season that Johnson grabbed two or more steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Kaylin Davis, who scored 13 points along with six rebounds and three steals.
Meanwhile, Keenan's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight loss. They fell 57-49 to Northwest Guilford.
West Florence's win ended a five-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 1-7. As for Keenan, their loss dropped their record down to 6-6.
