The Midlothian Heritage Jaguars won the last time they faced the Mansfield Summit Jaguars, and things went their way on Tuesday too. Midlothian Heritage blew past Mansfield Summit 51-26. Given Midlothian Heritage's advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 175th, while Mansfield Summit is ranked 606th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Midlothian Heritage got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Grace Sweeney out in front who scored 13 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Ivy Preusser, who scored ten points.
The victory makes it two in a row for Midlothian Heritage and bumps their season record up to 12-6. As for Mansfield Summit, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-12.
Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Mansfield Timberview the next time they take the court. Midlothian Heritage will host Mansfield Timberview at 5:30 p.m. on Friday, while Mansfield Summit will head out to face them at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
