Softball Recap: Clinton Has No Trouble Against Cumberland Gap

After only two runs in their last game, Clinton made sure to put some runs up on the board against Cumberland Gap on Thursday. The Dragons were the clear victors by a 17-2 margin over the Panthers. The Dragons might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 11 matches by six runs or more this season.

Clinton moved to 20-10-1 with that win, which also ended their three-game losing streak. As for Cumberland Gap, they dropped their record down to 2-13 with the loss, which was their fifth straight at home.

Looking ahead, Clinton will face off against Union County at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Cumberland Gap, they will square off against Knox Central at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Knox Central has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 8.9 runs per game on average), something Cumberland Gap will no doubt try to take advantage of.
