Walled Lake Western and Walled Lake Central are an even 5-5 against one another since April of 2022, but likely not for long. The Warriors will be playing in front of their home fans against the Vikings at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Both teams are coming into the match red-hot, with Walled Lake Western sitting on six straight wins and Walled Lake Central on five.
On Thursday, Walled Lake Western made easy work of Stevenson and carried off an 11-1 victory. The Warriors might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four games by ten runs or more this season.

Zach Emmer made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only one hit while striking out 12 over five innings pitched. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than two hits in five consecutive appearances. He was also stellar in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with one home run, six RBI, and two runs. That home run marked the first that he has launched this season.
In other batting news, Lucas Hoffmeyer was incredible, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with three runs and one stolen base. Another player making a difference was Dallas Sauve, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI, one run, and one double.
Walled Lake Western always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .531. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Stevenson only posted an OBP of .182.
Meanwhile, Walled Lake Central was able to grind out a solid win over Stevenson on Saturday, taking the game 10-6.
Walled Lake Western's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-1-1. Those home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.5 runs over those games. As for Walled Lake Central, their victory bumped their record up to 6-4-1.
Everything went Walled Lake Western's way against Walled Lake Central when the teams last played back in April of 2024, as Walled Lake Western made off with a 12-3 win.
