It was a good run, but Marian Catholic unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Saturday. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Providence Catholic Celtics. If the Spartans were looking for revenge after losing 2-0 to the Celtics when the teams met back in November of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Maddie Johnson was the offensive standout of the game as she had six digs and two aces.

Marian Catholic's loss dropped their record down to 3-2. As for Providence Catholic, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 5-0.

Marian Catholic wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 2-0 win against De La Salle on the 3rd. As for Providence Catholic, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-1 victory against Lincoln-Way West on the 2nd.
