The Northridge Raiders will venture away from home to challenge the Plymouth Pilgrims/Rockies at 5:45 p.m. on Monday. Northridge is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.7 runs per game this season.
On Saturday, Northridge came up short against Elkhart and fell 8-4.
Northridge got a good showing from Colt Bollinger, who tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Bollinger has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one walk in four consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Northridge saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was JT Tabor, who went 3-for-4 with one run. Tabor has become a key player for the Raiders: the team is 3-1 when he posts at least three hits, but 5-6 otherwise.
Meanwhile, Plymouth entered their tilt with NorthWood on Friday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 2-1 W against the Panthers. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Pilgrims/Rockies have posted since April 11th.
Preston Wolfe made a big impact no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run while striking out eight over eight innings pitched. That's the most strikeouts he has posted since back in April of 2024. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-4 with one run and one RBI.
Northridge's loss dropped their record down to 8-7. As for Plymouth, they now also have a winning record of 8-7.
Plymouth's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Northridge hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .350. It's a different story for Plymouth, though, as they've only averaged .257. Will they be able to contain Northridge's hitters?
Northridge took their victory against Plymouth when the teams last played back in May of 2024 by a conclusive 10-0 score. Do the Raiders have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Pilgrims/Rockies turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
