Football Recap: Shelby Piles Up the Points Against West Lincoln

Shelby won the last time they faced West Lincoln and things went their way on Friday too. The Golden Lions claimed a resounding 49-14 win over the Rebels. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Golden Lions' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina football rankings (they are ranked 43rd, while the Rebels are ranked 148th).

Shelby's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Lan Farmer, who threw for 327 yards and four touchdowns while completing 76.5% of his passes. Those 327 passing yards gave Farmer a new career-high. Shelby also got help from Jamarion Jj Williams, who showed off his sure hands for 114 receiving yards.

The victory made it two in a row for Shelby and bumps their season record up to 2-2. Those wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 69.5 points over those games. As for West Lincoln, their loss dropped their record down to 2-2.
