Basketball Recap: White Knoll Extends Winning Streak to Four

On WednesdayLaurens kept up with White Knoll until halftime, but afterwards: not so much. Everything went the White Knoll Timberwolves' way against the Laurens Raiders as the White Knoll Timberwolves made off with a 48-25 victory. The Timberwolves have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four matchups by 23 points or more this season.

White Knoll had a senior duo take command as Shaelyn Hayes dropped a double-double on 20 points and 12 rebounds and Emory Waters-Inman almost dropped a triple-double on 19 points, nine boards, and nine assists. Hayes has been hot for a while, having also posted two or more steals the last nine times she's played. Sidney White was another key player, putting up three points and six rebounds.

The win was the fourth in a row for White Knoll, bringing their record for this year to 7-4. Those victories came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 29.0 points per game. As for Laurens, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six games, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-5 record this season.

White Knoll will be taking part in a tournament against Indian Land at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Laurens, they will venture away from home to face off against Washington at 4:30 p.m. on December 27th.
