The Unity Christian Academy Phoenix scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. They claimed a resounding 91-50 win over Universal at home. The victory was nothing new for Unity Christian Academy as they're now sitting on eight straight.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Unity Christian Academy to victory, but perhaps none more so than Shamar Coleman, who shot 8-for-13 from long range and dropped a double-double on 34 points and 11 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Coleman has scored all season. Kenyun Mazique was another key contributor, scoring 21 points along with nine steals and six assists.
Unity Christian Academy is on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 11 games, which provided a nice bump to their 10-6 record this season. As for Universal, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost eight of their last ten matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-13 record this season.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Unity Christian Academy will take on College Prep of America at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Hopefully College Prep of America focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 13 on Saturday. As for Universal, they will look to defend their home court on Monday against Chesterton Academy of the Holy Family at 7:00 p.m.
