5A Region 2 recap November 13, 2013
Adding to the longest winning streak in 5A Region 2 this week, Callaway beat Pearl 52-7. The win marks 12th in a row for the the Chargers.
The Pirates fell to Callaway 52-7 last week, the largest margin of any game. Malik Mcnair caught 3 passes for 129 yards in the defeat.
Ridgeland's dynamic duo of Parker Lohman and Xavier Marion proved tough for Germantown to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Lohman threw for 234 yards and 2 touchdowns and Marion had 155 yards receiving. Isaiah Johnson helped Ridgeland's passing attack out by catching 2 balls for 76 yards.
Pearl's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Pirates feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Ledarius Carpenter has thrown for 2,242 yards and 17 touchdowns this season, while Demorrious Brown has 51 catches for 1,054 yards.
In 145 carries Chester Lewis has put up 911 yards this year.
