Having just played yesterday, the Lawrence County Red Devils will get right back to it and host the Haleyville Lions at 7:30 p.m. on December 22nd. Hopefully Lawrence County focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up eight on Thursday.
On Thursday, Lawrence County earned a 64-53 victory over Central. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Lawrence County.
Braylon Dame was his usual excellent self, scoring 32 points along with four steals. The match was his sixth in a row with at least ten points. Kaiden Wear was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with eight rebounds and four steals.
Meanwhile, Haleyville came up short against Colbert County on Monday and fell 58-48. Haleyville has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
The victory got Lawrence County back to even at 7-7. As for Haleyville, they bumped their record down to 1-7 with that defeat, which was their third straight at home.
Everything came up roses for Lawrence County against Haleyville when the teams last played back in January of 2020 as the squad secured a 70-40 win. Does Lawrence County have another victory up their sleeve, or will Haleyville turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
