Orange's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Rachel Oberster, who scored 21 points. That makes it five consecutive games in which Oberster has scored at least a third of Orange's points. Another player making a difference was Kynnade Bates, who scored 12 points.
East Tech lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Lanijah Carraway, who scored 16 points. That was a full 51.6% of East Tech's points, marking the third time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. Myheirah Hampton was another key contributor, scoring eight points.
Orange is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a massive bump to their 7-9 record this season. As for East Tech, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-10.
Orange will be playing at home against the Hawks at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for East Tech, they won't have much time to rest: their next match is against the Raptors at 7:00 p.m. on January 30th.
