The Legacy Academy Warriors are on the road again on Tuesday and plays the Hilldale Hornets at 4:00 p.m. on February 13th. Legacy Academy has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 258 points over their last four matches.
It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Legacy Academy can now relate to. They fell just short of the Saints by a score of 74-71. Legacy Academy has not had much luck with Garrett Memorial Christian recently, as the team's come up short the last seven times they've met.
Oaklee Lofton put forth a good effort for the losing side as she dropped a double-double on 58 points and 18 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points she has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Skylar Alexander, who scored six points along with six rebounds.
Even though they lost, Legacy Academy smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 27 offensive rebounds. That's the most offensive rebounds they've managed all season.
Meanwhile, Hilldale beat Beggs 50-37 on Friday. The victory was just what Hilldale needed coming off of a 58-19 loss in their prior matchup.
Legacy Academy's loss dropped their record down to 19-6. As for Hilldale, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games, which provided a massive bump to their 7-11 record this season.
