Poly has enjoyed the comforts of home their last two games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will square off against Gerstell Academy at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. Both teams come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
In what's become a running theme this season, Poly gave their fans yet another huge victory on Thursday. They blew past Dunbar 60-10 at home. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win Poly has posted since December 5, 2023.
Poly's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Mickelle Lowry, who scored 18 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Lowry has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Arianna Makumi, who scored eight points.
Meanwhile, Gerstell Academy waltzed into their game on Wednesday with four straight wins but they left with five. They put the hurt on John Carroll with a sharp 44-22 victory.
Poly pushed their record up to 11-0 with that win, which was their 14th straight at home. They've been dominating during the matchups in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 42.64 points. As for Gerstell Academy, their victory bumped their record up to 8-5.
