Carbon had to skate by with only a three-point margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the 62-point drubbing they dealt Grand County on Friday. The Dinos blew past the Red Devils 68-6. The win continues a trend for the Dinos in their matchups with the Red Devils: they've now won four in a row.

Leading Carbon to victory were Tayger Timothy and Dexter Packard. Timothy gained 76 total yards and three touchdowns, while Packard rushed for 79 yards and a pair of scores on only nine carries. Timothy's longest rush was for an impressive 54 yards, which helps to explain his lofty yards per carry total.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Carbon was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 283 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've posted since the start of last season.

Special teams also played a big role in the game for Carbon, adding 14 points to the final score. The biggest highlight from special teams (and perhaps the team as a whole) came courtesy of Timothy, who ran a kickoff back for a touchdown.

Carbon's record now sits at 2-0. As for Grand County, their loss was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-2.
