This season hasn't been kind to the High Point Eagles, who are still winless after their 16th contest. They fell 64-57 to Parkdale on Thursday. High Point has not had much luck with the Panthers recently, as the team's come up short the last four times they've met.
Several Eagles players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Ibrahim Turay, who scored 22 points along with six rebounds and two steals. Turay is trending in the right direction, as he's improved his point production for three games straight. Another player making a difference was Daniel Eze, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and 15 rebounds.
Mark Freeland continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Parkdale, dropping a double-double on 26 points and 13 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Freeland has scored all season. Jairus Giray was another key contributor, scoring 12 points.
High Point's defeat was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-16. As for Parkdale, their win bumped their record up to 5-11.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. High Point will take on the Patriots at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Friendly is coming into the match on a four-game losing streak. As for Parkdale, they will be playing at home against the Cavaliers at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Crossland comes in still looking for their first win of the season.
