Given Colorado Academy's advantage in MaxPreps' Colorado basketball rankings (they are ranked 15th, while Peak to Peak is ranked 127th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Colorado Academy's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Jason Bratis, who scored 21 points along with eight rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Bratis has scored all season. Another player making a difference was George Buyers, who scored 22 points along with seven rebounds and two steals.
Colorado Academy's win bumped their record up to 10-2. As for Peak to Peak, they now have a losing record at 5-6.
Colorado Academy will head out on the road to square off against Jefferson Academy at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday. Hopefully Jefferson Academy focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 16 last Saturday. As for Peak to Peak, they will look to defend their home court on Saturday against Eagle Ridge Academy at 11:30 a.m. Hopefully Eagle Ridge Academy focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 23 last Saturday.
