Despite the loss, Fellowship Academy still got an impressive performance from Rhyia Ray, who scored 11 points along with three steals. Ray has been hot recently, having posted three or more steals the last three times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Libby Hamblin, who scored five points along with six rebounds.
Fellowship Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 17-8. As for San Jacinto Christian Academy, they have been performing well recently as they've won 11 of their last 14 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 23-8 record this season.
Fellowship Academy will head out on the road to take on Lubbock Christian at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. One thing working in Lubbock Christian's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last 11 contests. As for San Jacinto Christian Academy, they will be playing at home against Covenant Classical at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Hopefully San Jacinto Christian Academy is not getting complacent, as they presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Covenant Classical in Texas (San Jacinto Christian Academy is ranked 452nd, while Covenant Classical is ranked 914th).
