Prince George's County 4A recap November 13, 2013
Suitland added to the longest winning streak in Prince George's County 4A this week by beating High Point, 47-0. The victory was the 10th in a row for the team.
Suitland took down the Eagles 47-0 last week, the largest margin of any game.
Wise's dynamic duo of Isaiah Black and Nate Hampton, Jr proved tough for Flowers to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Black threw for 135 yards and 1 touchdown and Hampton, Jr had 73 yards receiving. Anfernee Perry helped Wise's passing attack out by catching 3 balls for 52 yards.
Leading the league in both passing and receiving yards, Laurel's Mason Duckett and Cailen Walker have proven to be a lethal combination. Duckett has thrown for 1,377 yards this season, while Walker has 20 catches for 424 yards. Adam Gillis Jr. from the Pumas leads the league in rushing with 897 yards.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when DuVal takes on Wise. At the moment, the Tigers are in second, while DaLawn Parrish's team is in third.
The Pumas made the biggest leap in the national rankings this week, rising to 2,010 from 2,668. They were able to move up in the ranks after a 25-0 victory over the Jaguars last week.
